About Noorjoo
Noorjoo is a platform for anyone who wants to get to know the Fourteen Infallibles (the Prophet of Islam, Fatima, and the twelve Imams) and God's prophets — whether or not you have any prior background, and whether or not you speak Persian. You start with a logical, documented narrative, and gradually earn your way, by proving your own understanding, into deeper content.
Why Noorjoo
Most sources on these figures are either too simple, or too technical and dense. Noorjoo aims to fill that gap: it introduces each figure with one standout moral trait and a short summary, then lets you decide how much deeper to go. Stories are told causally and logically -- not as a bare list of events -- and religious/Arabic terms are linked to a glossary with their etymology.
Fairness and transparency
The concept of the "Fourteen Infallibles" comes specifically from Twelver Shia belief, and Noorjoo says so plainly from the start -- rather than pretending to offer a neutral, timeless account of all of Islam. Figures are introduced in chronological order, not by importance, and no religion or tradition is described as "false" or "lesser." Every historical or religious claim carries a source, and where historians disagree, that disagreement is honestly noted.
How it works
Each figure's content comes in layers: a quick start, a full story, and a historical-depth layer (wars, contemporaries, sources). Unlocking each next layer requires passing a short, understanding-based quiz, not just scrolling. Your progress is shown on a constellation map -- each figure is a star that grows brighter as you progress.
Noorjoo's model
Noorjoo is currently available with no ads and no mandatory subscription. Our goal is building a source worth trusting, not selling our users' attention.
Who made Noorjoo
Noorjoo is built by Mehdi -- an independent project, with no large team or investor behind it, born out of an interest in telling an honest, documented story of these figures' lives.
